38. Creating Equity for LGBTQ+ Fundraisers

About this episode

I'm excited to welcome Jonathan Meagher-Zayas to the #TheIntentionalFundraiser #podcast!

Jonathan is a self-described Queer Latinx Millennial and a #nonprofit strategist dedicated to addressing equity issues, building capacity, engaging the community, motivating new impact leaders, and getting stuff done. Jonathan is the Owner and Chief Strategist of Equity Warrior Strategies.

In this episode, we talk about how to create equitable change in the #nonprofit sector, foster psychological safety, and embed equity into #fundraising and organizational culture.

Listen in as we discuss this important topic.

LGBTQ+ is an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or questioning. The ‘plus’ is used to signify all of the gender identities and sexual orientations that letters and words cannot yet fully describe.

"You can't say, we're committed to helping everyone if you don't include everyone in the process. How are we building and engaging our community so that everyone feels like they're part of the process to move forward?"
